Begum Bazar fish market stinks to the gills, for GHMC it’s business as usual

Buyers and motorists struggling through the dirty, narrow lanes dotted with dry blood stains, heaps of waste and strays relieving themselves, has become a common sight at the city’s bustling fish market at Begum Bazaar. While fish sellers and customers have been complaining about poor sanitation for a while, the situation hasn’t improved even marginally. So much so that many traders are contemplating moving out of the market, despite their high sale figures.
