A recently released Comprehensive National Nutrition Survey (CNNS) report on the nutritional status of children and adolescents in the country by the ministry of health and family welfare, in collaboration with Unicef, has found that Telangana performed poorly as there was a large number of stunted children in the state. The issue is severe in the state as 29.3% of the children below five years of age suffered from stunting (low height for age).
