Head-on train collision in Hyd leaves 17 injured

Seventeen people, including a loco pilot, were injured when a local train (MMTS) leaving Kacheguda railway station collided with the inbound Hundry Intercity Express on Monday morning. Six coaches of MMTS (multi-modal transport system) derailed due to the impact. After an eight-hour rescue effort, the MMTS loco-pilot was extricated alive from the mangled cabin.
