Hyderabad to get onions from Egypt

While the price of onions continues to skyrocket in the city, consumers can breathe easy as onions from Egypt are set to reach Hyderabad market after December 7. The onions imported from Egypt will be sold first at Saroornagar and Mehdipatnam rythu bazaars. Officials said they could be priced at Rs 60 a kilo — much less than Rs 100 per kg in kirana stores and supermarkets.
