GHMC lags behind in collecting taxes from advertising agencies

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has failed to collect Rs 92 crore in taxes from advertising agencies across the city. As per the norms, the GHMC is mandated to collect Rs 6,000 per annum as tax for the advertisements displayed on RTC buses. However, records reveal that four years of the contract, which is for five years, have already been completed.
