Union Budget lays roadmap for SCR infra work

In the Union Budget, Rs 6,846 crore was sanctioned for South Central Railway (SCR) to carry out various infrastructure works. In a major boost to ongoing projects in Telangana, Rs 85 crore was allotted for the 85-km Secunderabad-Mahbubnagar track doubling project. Work on the sections between Shadnagar and Gollapalli (29km) is nearing completion. The project was sanctioned in 2015-16.
